     Polly is girl that live in country-side.She came to town because of Fancy, her friend. First, she did not have any goal. After she sang a song grandma, grandma inspired Polly. She knew that she has wonderful voice.She went back to her house. She had tried to be a singer. She became a singer. And she went back to town. Her goal is she wanted Tom to be a good singer. So, she taught many thing about singing to Tom. And Tom became a famous singer. You can see that Polly did not only want to success her goal but she also wanted to make other dreams come true.

     Another thing that Polly got from living in town for 6 months is fashion. She had attended fashionable school. Fancy learned at fashionable school before Polly. So, Fancy invited Polly to come and learn with her. First, Polly had problems with friends. She didn't know how to be friend with new friends. City people have a different life-style with urban people so it is not easy for Polly to make friend with urban people. But she tried her best to be friend with them. She became a good friend for everyone in school and everyone loved her. This teaches to know that it is not easy to be a good friend for new friend. After she finished her fashionable school, she knows how to dress correctly. She earned many thing from learning in fashionable school.

     Everything that happened in the story teach us to know that not everyone that knows their talent. Someone has to find out what is their talent. Another thing that I earned from this book is patient. When we meet new friend, we should try to communicate with them and see what are they talking about. Polly was not good to communicate with other. But she broke down the wall and talk with new friends. If I meet new friend, I will try to talk to them nicely and politely and talk about thing that they like otherwise they might hate me. I won't have friends.

Fourth Summary page 232-300

                   After Polly went back to her house, grandma died. Polly knew about it because she always talked to Tom by sending the letter. Polly knew everything about Tom's family that lives in the city. But Polly didn't tell Tom about her story. She became a famous singer in country-side. She has a wonderful voice. Tom knew that Polly's voice was wonderful. He had heard it when Polly was living in his family house. Everyone in Tom's family knew that Polly's voice is wonderful because of grandma. When she heard Polly's voice, she told everyone that Polly's voice is great.

                   6 years afterward, Polly planned to come to city. She told Tom that she will go the city soon. Tom felt excited about Polly's coming. He wanted see Polly. Tom told everyone in the his family about Polly's coming. Everyone was so happy. All of them were waiting for Polly's coming back for long time.They did not know that Polly is a singer. They were talking about Polly characteristic. They were talking about Polly's fashion. This time, they did not have to go to train station because Polly was old enough to come their home alone.

                   When they saw Polly, they were surprised. They couldn't believe that this fashionable girl is Polly who was a normal country girl. She dressed well. She dressed like a city girl. She knew how to dress correctly already.She told everyone that she came to the city because she wanted to find job to be teacher.No one believed that she is a teacher. Everyone helped Polly to find job.

                   Tom loved singing but he had no teacher. So, Polly asked to be his teacher. But Tom did not want the girl who he loved to teach him. He had too much shyness. But Polly wanted to teach him. So, Tom learned how to sing with Polly. Polly had given Tom many things. One day, Polly gave all of her knowledge to Tom. Tom became a famous singer in the town. Everyone in the town knew him. Tom. Tom wanted to marry with Polly. So, he asked Polly to marry him. Polly accepted. So, they married and lived together.

Third Summary An Old-Fashioned Girl 101-152

          Polly had an afternoon tea with grandma. People in the town love to drink tea or coffee in the afternoon of weekend. They love to tell their dairy life to their friends. Drinking afternoon is rarely happened in country-side. Grandma invited her friends and neighbors to drink tea in the afternoon. Grandma also invited Polly too. She wanted Polly to know her friends. When everyone arrived at Grandma's house, everyone looked at Polly. They looked at Polly's dress. Everyone in this meeting knew that Polly is not a country girl by looking the way she dressed. Grandma explained to everyone that Polly came from country-side and she didn't know how to dress correctly. Everyone understood.

         Polly did not know how to refill coffee or tea for the older person. She refilled tea to one of the grandma's friend. Grandma taught her. So, she knew how to refill coffee or tea to older person. They were talking about many kinds of book. Everyone in that table loves to read book included Polly. So, when they were talking about book, Polly felt enjoy. Because she loves to read book. She has read many books. Talking about book made everyone forgot the way Polly dressed and her manner on the table. All of grandma's friends love Polly.

        Polly had been living in the city for 2 months. After her finished her fashionable school, she had to  go home. Everyone did not want Polly to go home. They thought Polly is one of their family members. Polly also did not want to go home. But she had to go. Everyone went to train station to send Polly home. Everyone's face were not fine. Polly's face is not fine too. Polly never thought about time to go home. She always enjoyed her time while she was living with this family.

       Tom was the worst person. He did not want to see Polly's leaving. He loves Polly. He tried to help Polly as much as he can before Polly goes home. He was holding Polly's handbag and traveling bag all the time. He asked Polly about everything that use to travel. Polly also felt good with Tom. But she did not want to say. Tom asked for Polly's coming back. Polly promised to Tom that one day she will be back to town and meet him. When Tom heard that, Tom felt better.

Second summary An old-fashioned girl page 44-100

            Polly found that she was in the new world, a world where the manner, traditional, and customs are different from the simple world that she felt like. It was not easy to qualify with this world. She has the different way of thinking from city teenagers. Tom refreshed himself by teasing Polly. Polly liked Tom but she did not like the way that Tom use to teasing her. First Grandma thought Polly and Tom are good friends. But Grandma also did not like the way that Tom use to teasing Polly. Grandma is more old-fashioned than Polly but she is old. No one blames her about fashion. 

            Another thing that disturbed Polly was the want of exercise. She had to wear a formal shirt. It was not the same as her simple. Her simple, she can exercise anytime she wants. She did not have to wear any formal shirt. She loved to walk in the garden. Walking in the garden made her feel like she is the country-side. 

        

           Polly did not know manners that using on the table while having dinner. Everyone taught her. Grandma and Mr. Shaw always gave her some lectures. But not only Polly that did not know the manners that using on the table while having dinner. Some teenagers in this house did not know too. But the thing that Polly did not know but everyone knows is how to dressing properly. Polly never know how to dressing properly. Everyone always laughed at her. It made her shy. 

          One night, before Polly went to bed, she kissed grandma. Tom laughed at her. He did not understand why Polly had to show her love by kissing. When Polly was in country-side, she kissed his mom every night. So, when she came to city, she still remembered and used it to the one she loved. This is the difference of country-side teenagers and city teenagers.
