Imagery

1. What scenes, moment, descriptive, passage, phrases, or words stand out in your reading of the story?
Answer Eventually the family's hopes for learning fastened on me, the youngest. I remeber-- I think I remember, for I could not have been more than five-- one frigid day Pa huddled on a rickety stool before he coal stove, took me on his knee and studied me gravely. I was a skinny little thing, they tell me, wih large, solemn eyes

2. Did a particular image make you feel happy, or frightened, or disturbed, or angry? Why?
Answer I did not feel frightened or angry with this story. But I think it has too many disturbed scence. I feel happy with thier success.

3. Which of your five senses did this image appeal to? What do you associate with this image, and why? What do you think the author wants you to feel about a certain image?
Answer  First scene is when the family planted tree in the farm. They are farmer family. This scene can express how poor the family is.
Second scene is when Buddy talked to mom about his education. He showed that he wants to learn.
Third scene is when Buddy became a professor. It shows that poor person can have success in learning not only for rich people. They gave each other a gift when they had meeting.

Answer  If I were Buddy's parent, I would feel proud of him. He did not have chance to learn when he born. He fought his own money and his own chance to learn. I am the one who has chance to learn my mon and my dad give me money to learn. I don't know that I can be professor like Buddy or not. He is hard-working man. I want to be like him.
